Primary Recruitment

Thursday, September 3, 2026 - Sunday, September 6, 2026

Primary Recruitment is a mutual selection process where potential new members explore the Panhellenic Council Chapters at Texas Woman’s University.  Potential new members have the opportunity to become familiar with current sorority members and their chapters, meet other potential new members, and become acclimated to the collegiate experience. Texas Woman’s University currently recognizes three out of the twenty-six National Panhellenic Conference sororities:

Alpha Gamma Delta Women’s Fraternity

Alpha Omicron Pi Women’s Fraternity

Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority

Recruitment Weekend will begin with an Orientation on Thursday, September 3 and end with Bid Day on Sunday, September 6. You are expected to attend all recruitment events in order to continue to participate in the process.  There is a $35 registration fee for recruitment. This fee covers your recruitment t-shirt, recruitment supplies, and the recruitment management software.

There are no refunds for Recruitment Registration. 

Requirements to participate from the Office of Sorority & Fraternity Life, 
Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA
enrolled full time (12 hours) at TWU

Attendence is required at all recruitment events.

Recruitment Weekend At A Glance:
September 3: Orientation: 5pm.
Attire: Casual/TWU Spirit
 
September 4: Meet and Greet: 2:30 pm - 7:00 pm You will attend 3 events.
Attire: Panhellenic Recruitment Shirt whatever bottoms you are comfortable in.

September 5: Philanthropy: 1:00 pm - 6:30 pm You can attend up to 3 events. 
Attire: Sunday Best 
September 6: Preference: 9:00 am - 1:30 pm You can attend up to 2 events. 
Attire: Semi-Formal
September 6: Bid Distribution: 5:30 pm.
September 6: Bid Day Celebrations with chapters: 6:00 pm.
Attire: Casual
