By registering for recruitment, you give permission for the Campus Life Office to release your grade point average to the sorority chapter leadership (including national headquarter leadership) during recruitment as needed for the purposes of an offer of membership.  You are required to agree to this policy to participate in formal recruitment, and all chapters have a minimum grade point average requirement in order to join the organization.  In addition, if you accept a bid to join a chapter through recruitment, you agree to waive your FERPA rights so the following information may be shared with the Campus Life Office, who in turn may share all such information with a chapter's leadership and other local and national chapter representatives as needed.  This authorization will continue for as long as the student is a member of the indicated chapter.

  • Grade point average (term and cumulative)
  • Midterm grades
  • Term credits
  • Term hours
  • Enrollment status
  • Disciplinary probation status and related information

Components of Recruitment:

  • January 14th - PNM Orientation, 1.5 hours

  • January 15th - Panhellenic Fair and Open House, 3 hours

  • January 16th-20th - Values-Based Activities Days - Various times throughout each day with each activity being 1 hour long

    • PNMs are required to attend 1 event per chapter at minimum, but may attend more than 1.  If a PNM cannot attend 1 event for each chapter, they should talk to their Recruitment Counselor (RC)

  • January 20th evening - PNM Preference Submission - PNMs submit preferences - 30 minutes

    • PNMs will rank the chapters based on which ones they most desire to receive a bid (an invite to join the chapter).

  • January 21st - Preference Round and Bid Matching - 3-4 hours

PNMs only attend the events during Preference Round if they receive an invitation to attend a chapter's preference event. PNMs will be informed on Saturday, after preference round, by their RC, a Panhellenic Executive Board member, or the Fraternity/Sorority Advisor (FSA) if they received a bid from a chapter.  If a PNM receives a bid, they are expected to attend the Bid Matching event.  If a PNM does not receive a bid, they may not attend the Bid Matching event
