I am so excited you have decided to embark on this journey we call Formal Recruitment! This experience will be what you make of it. If I have not met you yet, my name is Morgan McClain, and I'm a senior psychology major from Greenville, South Carolina, and am the Vice President of Recruitment for the Furman Panhellenic Council. I, as well as Cory Wood (Panhellenic President), Elizabeth Mitchell (Assistant Vice President of Recruitment), and Caro Douglas (Panhellenic Advisor), are the recruitment team. We are here as a resource for you! BUT during the week of recruitment, there will be some lovely women in green vests, those are our Pi Chis. They are disaffiliated chapter women who are so excited to help you in your recruitment journey. During recruitment, you will be assigned to a group led by a Pi Chi. These groups will be assigned after final exams in December, and your Pi Chi will be reaching out to you soon after!
Keep an eye out for the Recruitment Lookbook that goes over lots of important information about what to expect during recruitment! It will be available on October 15th! We also have an event, Recruitment 101, on the day registration closes, December 1st at 5:30 pm in Johns Hall 101, where you will get to hear from me about the week of recruitment and have an opportunity to hear a bit from each chapter.
Other important information: The Recruitment dates are January 7-11, 2026! You will need to return to campus on the 7th by 5 pm, for a Recruitment Kickoff beginning at 6 pm. From the 8th through the 10th, you will meet the different sororities (specifics will come later). On the 11th, we will have Bid Day Celebrations!
We strive to host inclusive, accessible events for all members of our community. So that we can facilitate your full engagement, please indicate any accommodations you need by contacting Caro Douglas, caro.douglas1@furman.edu . Requests must be received at least 3 business days prior to the scheduled date of the event or activity.
If you have any questions about the process, please reach out! Email: mcclmo0@furman.edu Phone: (864) 501-7490
I cannot wait to meet you all!
<3 With Panhellenic Love Morgan
