Welcome to the Alabama Interfraternity Council (IFC) recruitment database. This database will serve as your launching point for all things related to IFC recruitment. Registration for IFC Fall Recruitment is the first step in pursuing membership in one of the thirty-three (33) recognized IFC fraternities. By registering for recruitment, your information will be shared with all of our recognized IFC chapters. However, simply registering for recruitment is not the end of the process. We encourage everyone interested in joining one of our chapters to maximize their options by reaching out to chapters that interest them and find a home here at The Capstone. To find contact information for our chapters, as well as learn about our fraternity community, we encourage you to visit our Alabama IFC website. For specific chapter information, please visit IFC Fraternities and for questions about recruitment, please visit Frequently Asked Questions.
Also, the Alabama Interfraternity Council will be hosting IFC Open House rounds beginning on August 19th, and continuing through August 28th. These events will occur in the evening and all IFC fraternities will be participating. During these events, anyone interested in learning about an IFC fraternity may visit a chapter, meet its members, and pursue membership in that organization. If you receive a bid at any point during the recruitment process, you will need to accept your bid through the Campus Director system.
We suggest that prepare yourself before you start the online registration process by having the following items available on hand:
I. Personal Information (i.e. MyBama username and password)
II. Method of Payment
III. List of extracurricular activities, honors, community service, and work experience
IV. Fraternity legacy information
V. Digital copy of your academic transcript
Upon completion of the online Recruitment Registration Form, you will receive an email confirmation from the Alabama Interfraternity Council. Please save a copy of this email. This email indicates that your application was successfully submitted and will be shared with the Alabama Interfraternity Council fraternities for the purpose of Fall Recruitment.
Once you complete the registration process and have received your confirmation email, you will want to make sure that your account is fully activated. If your account is missing required information, then your information has not been shared with our IFC chapters.
Finally, if you have any additional questions or concerns regarding Fall 2018 Fraternity Recruitment, you can email email@example.com or you can call the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life at (205) 348-2693.
